Well, the plan *was* to be on the South Island today, but last night I got an e-mail from a firm in Wellington who might want to throw some freelance consulting work my way, if I was in town this upcoming week to come in for an informal interview. So, I’m staying – not in-town, but close to town.
I’m staying in a hostel called the Moana Lodge. It’s actually quite nice, at about half the price for a hotel (but shared bathrooms) and WiFi (not even the hotel had that!). It’s in Plimmerton, a small town about 20 minutes outside of the Wellington city proper.
I’ll be shipping back more of my stuff to the states when I get a chance – Helen’s not going to do the 48 hour film fest, so I can ship back the bulk of my film equipment.
Meantime, I’ll keep going. I seem to be in flux at the moment, but not in a particularly bad place. It’s all about finding out what opportunities pan out.
